Responsibility
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems, including cash, credit, and digital payments.
- Provide friendly, professional, and timely customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns with a positive attitude.
- Balance cash registers at the start and end of each shift, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including restocking supplies and ensuring displays are visually appealing.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Handle customer complaints or issues escalated to management, documenting incidents as required.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including security protocols for cash handling and data protection.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations during peak hours and special promotions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cashier, Retail Associate, or in a similar customer-facing role.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate transaction processing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse customers.
- Basic proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office tools (training provided for proprietary software).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings, as required by store schedules.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in retail or customer service are a plus.
- Familiarity with inventory management and basic accounting principles is advantageous.
- Proven ability to work under pressure while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
