Responsibility
- Operate cash registers and POS systems to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
- Scan and bag items, ensuring pricing and promotions are applied correctly
- Handle fuel payments and provide receipts for all transactions
- Assist customers with inquiries, returns, and exchanges in a professional manner
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including restocking supplies as needed
- Balance cash drawers at the end of shifts and report discrepancies
- Upsell products or promotions when appropriate to enhance customer experience
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and security
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; prior retail or cashier experience is a plus
- Strong numerical and basic math skills for accurate cash handling
