Responsibility
- Provide outstanding customer service, greeting and assisting pet owners with product inquiries and recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment, including stocking shelves and rotating merchandise.
- Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems and handle cash, credit, and digital payments.
- Educate customers on pet care, nutrition, and the benefits of various products to ensure they make informed purchases.
- Assist in the care of in-store pets, including feeding, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring their health and well-being.
- Collaborate with the team to manage inventory, including receiving shipments, restocking products, and reporting low stock levels.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Participate in promotional events, sales campaigns, and community outreach programs to drive store traffic and engagement.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; prior retail or customer service experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Passion for animals and basic knowledge of pet care, products, and nutrition (training provided).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings, as required by store operations.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Physical ability to lift and move products (up to 20 kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new products, policies, and procedures.
