Responsibility
- Provide exceptional customer service with a friendly and professional demeanor, ensuring every guest feels welcome and valued.
- Take and process orders accurately, including special requests and dietary preferences, while upselling menu items when appropriate.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to Nando’s high standards of quality and presentation, including flame-grilling chicken to perfection.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during peak hours, including cash handling and POS system use.
- Assist in restocking supplies, setting up dining areas, and performing opening/closing duties as assigned.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Participate in training programs and team meetings to stay updated on menu changes, promotions, and service standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a restaurant, café, or customer service role (fresh graduates with a passion for hospitality are encouraged to apply).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to support colleagues during busy periods.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (certification is a plus).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by the restaurant’s operating hours.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move items up to 10 kg.
- Passion for delivering outstanding service and creating a memorable dining experience for guests.
