In this role, you will be the go-to expert for system upgrades, troubleshooting, disaster recovery (DR) planning, and onsite support, ensuring seamless operations and maximum uptime for critical business systems. Responsibility
- Manage, monitor, and optimize VMware vSphere and Nutanix AHV environments to ensure high availability and performance.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal downtime, following best practices and change management protocols.
- Lead disaster recovery (DR) planning, testing, and execution to ensure business continuity.
- Provide onsite and remote technical support for infrastructure-related issues, including root cause analysis and resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure IT solutions.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Proactively identify and address potential risks, vulnerabilities, or performance bottlenecks in the infrastructure.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in virtualization, cloud computing, and hyper-converged infrastructure to drive innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in managing VMware ESXi, vCenter, and Nutanix clusters.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization concepts, storage systems (SAN/NAS), and networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
- Experience with disaster recovery solutions (e.g., VMware SRM, Nutanix Xi Leap, Veeam).
- Certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP), or ITIL are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for onsite support or project deployments.
