Responsibility
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of MEPFS (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Safety) systems to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for mall equipment, HVAC systems, escalators, elevators, and other critical infrastructure.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities to identify potential issues, recommend solutions, and ensure timely repairs.
- Manage and lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee third-party contractors and vendors for specialized repairs, renovations, or system upgrades, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor energy consumption and propose efficiency improvements to reduce operational costs and environmental impact.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly, troubleshooting issues and restoring functionality with minimal disruption.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory of spare parts, and budget expenditures for reporting and planning purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Professional engineering license is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility management, MEPFS systems, or building maintenance, preferably in commercial or retail environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire safety protocols, and general building repairs.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and coordinating with cross-functional departments.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS) and Microsoft Office tools.
- Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to prepare reports and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
