Responsibility
- On-Site Supervision: Oversee daily geotechnical activities, ensuring alignment with project drawings, specifications, and regulatory standards.
- Compliance & Quality Control: Conduct rigorous inspections of soil investigations, foundation works, and earthworks to verify compliance with design and safety requirements.
- Contract Management: Monitor contractor performance, resolve technical disputes, and ensure adherence to contractual timelines and budgets.
- Technical Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed progress reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and as-built documentation for stakeholders.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential geotechnical risks (e.g., soil instability, groundwater issues) and propose mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with clients, consultants, and local authorities to address technical queries and obtain necessary approvals.
- Safety Leadership: Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols to maintain a zero-incident worksite.
- Problem-Solving: Provide expert technical solutions to on-site challenges, such as unexpected ground conditions or material deficiencies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng) are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 8+ years in geotechnical engineering, with at least 3 years in a Resident Engineer or site supervision role.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio) and familiarity with international standards (ASTM, BS, Eurocode).
- Project Knowledge: Hands-on experience with deep foundations, retaining structures, slope stabilization, and ground improvement techniques.
- Communication Skills: Fluent in English (written and verbal) with the ability to draft clear technical reports and present to diverse audiences.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage teams, contractors, and subcontractors in a high-pressure environment.
- Local Knowledge: Familiarity with Indonesian construction regulations and tropical geotechnical challenges is advantageous.
- Mobility: Willingness to relocate to Bali and travel to project sites across the region as needed.
