As our Resident Engineer, you will serve as the on-site technical authority, ensuring all construction activities adhere to approved designs, specifications, and regulatory requirements. Responsibility
- Monitor and supervise daily construction activities to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and local/regional regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to verify adherence to engineering standards and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with contractors, architects, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and ensure timely project completion.
- Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions for conformance with project requirements.
- Prepare and submit detailed progress reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and site diaries to stakeholders.
- Identify potential risks or deviations and propose corrective actions to maintain project integrity and budget.
- Ensure environmental and sustainability best practices are implemented on-site.
- Liaise with government authorities and third-party inspectors for permits, certifications, and audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction supervision, with at least 2 years as a Resident Engineer or Site Engineer.
- Professional certification (e.g., PE, PMP, or equivalent) is highly advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of construction codes, standards (e.g., SNI, ASTM, ACI), and quality assurance procedures.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, and other engineering software.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills to manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Indonesian (Bahasa) is a plus.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia and work on-site with occasional travel to project locations.
