Responsibility
- Operate and maintain the sputtering system and other laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of experiments, including sample preparation, data collection, and preliminary analysis.
- Document experimental procedures, results, and observations with meticulous attention to detail.
- Collaborate with researchers and faculty to support ongoing projects and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Calibrate and perform routine maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime and ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the procurement and inventory management of laboratory supplies and materials.
- Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials for new team members.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a laboratory or research setting, particularly with thin-film deposition techniques such as sputtering, is highly desirable.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to operate and troubleshoot complex laboratory equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in data recording and basic analysis using software tools such as Excel, MATLAB, or LabVIEW.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety standards and best practices.
