Responsibility
- Design, develop, and implement advanced multi-sensor fusion algorithms for robotic systems to improve perception, localization, and decision-making capabilities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate sensor fusion solutions into robotic platforms, ensuring seamless operation in real-world environments.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of algorithms using simulation tools and physical robotic systems to ensure robustness and accuracy.
- Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present at international conferences to contribute to the global robotics community.
- Mentor junior researchers and graduate students, fostering a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Work closely with industry partners to translate research outcomes into practical applications, bridging the gap between academia and industry.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in sensor fusion, machine learning, and robotics to continuously enhance research methodologies.
- Contribute to grant proposals and secure funding for future research projects, ensuring the sustainability of the research program.
Qualifications
- PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a strong focus on sensor fusion, machine learning, or autonomous systems.
- Proven experience in developing multi-sensor fusion algorithms, including but not limited to Kalman filters, particle filters, and deep learning-based approaches.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB, with experience in robotics frameworks like ROS (Robot Operating System).
- Hands-on experience with robotic platforms, sensors (e.g., LiDAR, cameras, IMUs), and simulation tools (e.g., Gazebo, Webots).
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals or conferences related to robotics, sensor fusion, or autonomous systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience with machine learning techniques, including neural networks and reinforcement learning, is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting research findings and collaborating with international teams.
