The National University of Singapore is seeking a highly skilled Research Engineer (IC Designer) to join our dynamic team. Responsibility
- Design and develop integrated circuits (ICs) for various applications, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Conduct simulations and analyses to validate circuit designs and identify potential improvements.
- Collaborate with research teams to define project requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
- Optimize circuit layouts for manufacturability, power consumption, and performance.
- Document design processes, test results, and project progress for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in semiconductor technology and IC design tools.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to support team development.
- Participate in academic and industry conferences to present research findings and network with professionals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IC design, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in industry-standard IC design tools such as Cadence, Synopsys, or Mentor Graphics.
- Solid understanding of semiconductor physics, analog/digital circuit design, and layout techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) for automation and data analysis is a plus.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies in IC design, such as AI-driven optimization or quantum computing, is advantageous.
