Responsibility
- Assist in the development and formulation of new skincare and cosmetic products, from concept to commercialization
- Conduct laboratory testing and stability studies to ensure product safety, efficacy, and compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and quality assurance, to align R&D efforts with business goals
- Research and evaluate raw materials, active ingredients, and innovative technologies to enhance product performance
- Maintain accurate documentation of experiments, formulations, and test results in compliance with company and industry standards
- Support pilot-scale production and scale-up activities to transition products from lab to manufacturing
- Assist in troubleshooting formulation challenges and optimizing existing products for improved stability, texture, or consumer appeal
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting skincare and cosmetic development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Cosmetic Science, or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in cosmetic or skincare formulation, preferably in an R&D or laboratory setting
- Strong understanding of cosmetic chemistry, including emulsions, surfactants, and active ingredients
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for cosmetic products (e.g., BPOM, ASEAN Cosmetic Directive, or international standards)
- Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and testing methodologies (e.g., pH meters, viscometers, stability chambers)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and laboratory software; experience with formulation databases is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is an advantage
