Responsibility
- Conduct research and development to create new food products and improve existing formulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, production, QA) to ensure product feasibility and market readiness.
- Perform sensory evaluations, shelf-life testing, and stability studies to guarantee product quality.
- Develop and optimize recipes while adhering to food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, ISO, local standards).
- Analyze market trends and consumer preferences to guide product innovation.
- Document all R&D processes, including formulations, test results, and compliance records.
- Source and evaluate raw materials and ingredients from suppliers for cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Support scale-up activities from lab prototypes to commercial production.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in food product development, R&D, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of food chemistry, microbiology, and processing techniques.
- Experience with sensory analysis, food safety standards (HACCP, GMP), and regulatory compliance.
- Proficient in lab equipment (e.g., texture analyzers, pH meters, rheometers) and data analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with clean label, plant-based, or sustainable food trends is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
