Responsibility
- Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations in Xero
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Generate financial reports and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to resolve discrepancies
- Stay updated on Xero features and best practices for efficient bookkeeping
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accounting Assistant (2+ years preferred)
- Proficiency in Xero (certification is a plus)
- Strong understanding of AP/AR, reconciliations, and basic accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Familiarity with Australian accounting standards (advantageous)
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Reliable internet connection and home office setup
