Responsibility

  • Develop, implement, and monitor HR policies and procedures aligned with UK employment laws and CQC standards.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for UK-based care staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct CQC compliance audits, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions to maintain high standards of care.
  • Manage employee relations, including dispute resolution, performance management, and disciplinary processes.
  • Oversee payroll and benefits administration for UK employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide training and development programs to enhance staff competencies in compliance and care delivery.
  • Maintain HR documentation and records in accordance with UK data protection (GDPR) and CQC guidelines.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align HR strategies with organizational goals and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. (Master’s or CIPD certification is a plus.)
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in HR management, preferably in the healthcare or social care sector with CQC compliance exposure.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK employment law, CQC regulations, and best practices in care sector HR.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with HRIS, payroll systems, and compliance tracking tools.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting with a high degree of self-motivation and organization.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal) is mandatory.
