Responsibility
- Design and engineer truss and wall panel systems for US residential and commercial construction projects using software like MiTek, Alpine, or AutoCAD.
- Ensure all designs comply with US building codes (IBC, IRC), industry standards, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with US-based architects, engineers, and project managers to refine designs and resolve technical challenges.
- Generate detailed shop drawings, cut lists, and material takeoffs for manufacturing and construction teams.
- Optimize designs for cost-efficiency, structural integrity, and ease of installation without compromising quality.
- Review and incorporate client feedback and change orders into final designs.
- Stay updated on industry trends, software advancements, and building code updates to enhance design processes.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing and construction teams during project execution.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelorâs degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in truss/wall panel design, structural engineering, or prefabricated construction.
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with MiTek Sapphire, Alpine, AutoCAD, or similar design software.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of US building codes (IBC, IRC), load calculations, and structural analysis.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to produce accurate, error-free designs under tight deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Fluent in English (written and verbal) for seamless collaboration with US teams.
- Problem-Solving: Aptitude for troubleshooting design challenges and proposing innovative solutions.
