Responsibility
- Verify and validate the credentials, licenses, and certifications of healthcare providers to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of provider credentials in electronic databases and tracking systems.
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities, licensing boards, and educational institutions to obtain necessary documentation and verifications.
- Monitor expiration dates of licenses and certifications, and initiate renewal processes in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational policies and procedures related to credentialing and licensing.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, administrators, and external agencies to resolve discrepancies or issues.
- Prepare reports and documentation for audits, accreditation, and internal reviews.
- Assist in the development and implementation of credentialing policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in medical credentialing, licensing, or a related healthcare compliance role.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using credentialing software, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and licensing requirements (e.g., NCQA, TJC, state boards).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and remotely, with a high level of self-motivation and accountability.
