Responsibility
- Develop and execute strategic purchasing plans to ensure material availability and minimize supply chain disruptions.
- Monitor and optimize inventory levels to balance cost efficiency and operational needs.
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate contracts, lead times, and pricing for cost-effective procurement.
- Analyze demand forecasts and production schedules to align material requirements with business objectives.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and finance, to streamline material flow.
- Implement inventory control measures to reduce excess stock and prevent shortages.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement, inventory turnover, and supplier performance.
- Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to ensure business continuity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in material planning, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for supplier and stakeholder management.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting during night shift hours.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge of lean inventory principles and demand forecasting techniques.
- Familiarity with international logistics and customs regulations is a plus.
