Responsibility
- Review and analyze medical records, extracting pertinent information for legal cases.
- Prepare concise and accurate case summaries for attorneys and paralegals.
- Assist with legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law to support active cases.
- Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
- Organize and maintain case files (digital and physical) with meticulous attention to detail.
- Coordinate with U.S.-based legal teams to ensure deadlines and procedural requirements are met.
- Liaise with clients, witnesses, or experts to gather additional case-related information.
- Utilize legal software and databases to manage documentation and track case progress.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or in a related role (U.S. legal system knowledge is a plus).
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures, particularly in litigation or medical malpractice.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (required for U.S. team collaboration).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
