Responsibility
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Support US-based clients with accounts payable and receivable tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to maintain financial integrity.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Collaborate with senior accountants to ensure compliance with US accounting standards and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and filings under guidance from the finance team.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to resolve accounting discrepancies and provide updates.
- Maintain organized digital filing systems for financial documents and records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing one).
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably with exposure to US clients or international firms.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, including GAAP or IFRS.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets accurately.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn and grow in the accounting field.
