As an ESL Reading Teacher, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping non-native English speakers develop strong reading comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency. Responsibility
- Design and deliver interactive ESL reading lessons tailored to students’ proficiency levels.
- Assess and track student progress in reading comprehension, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
- Develop engaging teaching materials, including reading passages, exercises, and multimedia resources.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to improve their reading skills and confidence.
- Conduct one-on-one or small-group sessions via online platforms.
- Collaborate with the curriculum team to refine lesson plans and teaching methodologies.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and feedback.
- Participate in professional development workshops to enhance teaching techniques.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field (TEFL/TESOL certification is a plus).
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience teaching ESL, preferably in a remote or online setting.
- Strong command of the English language (native or near-native proficiency).
- Excellent communication, patience, and adaptability to diverse learning styles.
- Familiarity with digital teaching tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom, or LMS platforms).
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet workspace in Bali.
- Passion for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate students in different time zones.
