This position is open to candidates based in Bali, Indonesia (Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Kuta, Badung), offering the perfect blend of professional growth and a tropical lifestyle.
Responsibility
- Prepare and lodge Australian Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) for clients using XERO.
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with Australian tax laws, including GST, PAYG, and superannuation obligations.
- Generate accurate financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Provide proactive tax planning and advisory services to clients to optimize their financial performance.
- Collaborate with clients to gather financial data, resolve discrepancies, and maintain organized records.
- Stay updated on changes in Australian accounting standards, tax regulations, and XERO software updates.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Australian accounting, tax, and compliance.
- Proficiency in XERO accounting software (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of Australian tax laws, including GST, PAYG, and superannuation.
- Experience with financial reporting, bookkeeping, and payroll processing.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines.
