Responsibility
- Coordinate and manage end-to-end release cycles for banking software applications, ensuring timely and error-free deployments.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to align release schedules and resolve dependencies.
- Implement and maintain release management best practices, including version control, branching strategies, and rollback procedures.
- Monitor and report on release progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations and security standards throughout the release process.
- Automate and optimize release pipelines using CI/CD tools to enhance efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Conduct post-release reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Manage release documentation, including change logs, deployment plans, and user communications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Release Manager, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/DevOps methodologies.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple releases simultaneously.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Certifications in ITIL, DevOps, or release management are a plus.
