Responsibility
- Develop and implement regional tax strategies to minimize liabilities while ensuring full compliance with local and international regulations.
- Oversee tax advisory services, including M&A, transfer pricing, and cross-border transactions for APAC operations.
- Lead tax compliance processes, including filings, audits, and reporting for multiple entities across the region.
- Collaborate with finance, legal, and operational teams to align tax policies with business goals and risk management frameworks.
- Monitor legislative changes and proactively advise senior management on potential impacts to the organization.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Prepare and present tax-related reports to stakeholders, including variance analyses and forecasting.
- Mentor and train local tax teams to ensure consistency in processes and adherence to best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation; a Masterâs degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, CTA) is highly preferred.
- Minimum 8â10 years of experience in tax advisory and compliance, with at least 3 years in a regional or MNC environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian tax laws and familiarity with APAC tax regimes (e.g., Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand).
- Proven track record in transfer pricing, BEPS, and international tax structuring.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax legislation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, fluent in English (additional Asian languages are a plus).
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Alteryx) and advanced Excel.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
