Responsibility
- Lead and supervise daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with GAAP and local regulations.
- Coordinate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders (internal teams, clients, or vendors) to facilitate smooth financial transactions and communications.
- Oversee tax compliance, including VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory filings, while liaising with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Implement and improve financial controls, processes, and systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic business decisions.
- Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and provide recommendations for financial optimization.
- Train, mentor, and develop junior accounting staff to ensure high performance and adherence to best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA) is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Fluent in Mandarin (written and spoken) and proficient in English; ability to communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations, GAAP, and IFRS.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills with a proactive approach to process improvement.
- Experience working in a multinational or cross-cultural environment is highly preferred.
