Responsibility
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with regional suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to optimize cost savings and mitigate risks.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations to ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and cost standards.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and align procurement strategies with business objectives.
- Implement and oversee supplier diversity and sustainability initiatives to support Micron's corporate responsibility goals.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, logistical, and market-related challenges.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance procurement processes, reduce lead times, and improve overall efficiency.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to drive innovation in supplier management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supplier management, procurement, or supply chain operations, preferably in the semiconductor or electronics industry.
- Proven track record of negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships in a global or regional context.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, assess supplier performance, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of supply chain sustainability practices and familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing business needs.
