Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and maintain structured cabling systems for data centers and enterprise networks across APAC, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC).
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and vendors to plan and execute infrastructure projects, including power distribution, cooling, and physical security systems.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to identify infrastructure requirements and recommend cost-effective, scalable solutions.
- Monitor and optimize data center performance, including power usage effectiveness (PUE), cooling efficiency, and network uptime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including network diagrams, cabling schematics, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support teams to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement in infrastructure design and operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data center infrastructure, structured cabling, or enterprise IT network design and implementation.
- Proficiency in designing and deploying fiber optic, copper cabling, and power distribution systems for data centers.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards such as TIA-942, ISO 27001, and ANSI/BICSI 002.
- Experience with data center cooling systems, UPS, generators, and environmental monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, VLAN, OSPF) and infrastructure management tools (e.g., DCIM, Nagios, SolarWinds).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Certifications such as BICSI RCDD, CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or Data Center Professional (DCP) are a plus.
