Responsibility
- Supervise and coordinate the receiving, unloading, and inspection of all incoming merchandise to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Verify delivery documents (invoices, purchase orders) against received goods and report discrepancies.
- Oversee the efficient sorting, labeling, and staging of products for timely shelf replenishment.
- Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to maintain accurate stock records and minimize losses.
- Train, mentor, and schedule receiving staff to ensure adherence to company standards and SOPs.
- Monitor and report on receiving productivity, identifying bottlenecks and implementing process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations in all receiving areas.
- Liaise with suppliers, logistics teams, and store management to resolve delivery or quality issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in receiving, warehouse, or inventory management within retail or FMCG sectors.
- Proven leadership skills with experience supervising a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and basic accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies in shipments or documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with retail management software.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills to handle supplier and internal team coordination.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by operational needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Logistics, Business, or related field is a plus.
