As a Receiving Specialist, you will oversee the critical process of acknowledging incoming shipments, verifying purchase orders, and maintaining precise inventory records. You will act as a vital bridge between our suppliers and our warehouse operations, ensuring that all goods are inspected, logged, and stocked correctly to support our distribution network. Responsibility
- Verify and inspect incoming shipments against purchase orders to ensure accuracy, quality, and quantity.
- Perform timely stock acknowledgments and system updates in the inventory management database.
- Coordinate closely with suppliers and internal procurement teams to resolve discrepancies or damaged goods.
- Organize and maintain the receiving area to facilitate smooth workflow and warehouse efficiency.
- Prepare accurate receiving reports and documentation for management review.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage and placement of received items.
- Conduct periodic inventory counts to maintain high-level stock integrity.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training in Logistics or Supply Chain is a plus.
- Proven experience in a warehouse, logistics, or receiving role is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with inventory management systems or MS Office.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Physical capability to handle goods and move within a warehouse environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal team members and external suppliers.
