Responsibility
- Administer precise radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by radiation oncologists.
- Operate and maintain advanced radiotherapy equipment, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Collaborate with oncologists, physicists, and nurses to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor patients during treatment sessions, providing support and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain detailed records of treatment sessions, patient progress, and any adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and their families about the treatment process, potential side effects, and post-treatment care.
- Participate in quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in radiation therapy techniques and technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or a related field.
- Valid certification or licensure as a Radiation Therapist.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical radiotherapy setting.
- Proficient in operating linear accelerators, CT simulators, and other radiotherapy equipment.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and patient care standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
