Responsibility
- Design and develop automotive electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, power distribution, and control modules, ensuring compliance with industry standards (ISO 26262, SAE J1939, etc.).
- Lead the electrical architecture design for new vehicle projects, from concept to production, while optimizing for cost, performance, and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with mechanical, software, and firmware components.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of electrical systems, including EMC/EMI, environmental, and functional testing, to ensure reliability and safety.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues during development and post-production, implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare technical documentation, including schematics, BOMs, test reports, and design specifications, for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay updated on emerging automotive technologies (e.g., ADAS, EV systems, IoT integration) and propose innovative solutions to enhance vehicle performance.
- Support prototype builds and participate in design reviews to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive electrical design, R&D, or a related role, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in electrical design tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD, or Mentor Graphics.
- Hands-on experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet) and diagnostic tools (CANoe, Vector).
- Familiarity with automotive safety standards (ISO 26262) and functional safety principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with electric vehicle (EV) systems or hybrid technologies is a plus.
