Responsibility
- Prepare and analyze cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with budgetary constraints.
- Conduct tendering processes, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and recommending contractors.
- Monitor project expenditures and financial performance, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Perform site visits and inspections to verify progress, quality, and adherence to specifications.
- Resolve financial disputes and claims, ensuring fair and timely resolutions.
- Maintain accurate records of project costs, variations, and financial transactions.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate financial risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, preferably in large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimation techniques.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and financial integrity.
- Certification or membership in a professional body (e.g., RICS, AIQS) is a plus.
