As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring quality control systems, conducting audits, and identifying opportunities for process improvements. Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, IPC, or customer-specific requirements).
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of manufacturing processes, materials, and finished products to identify defects, non-conformities, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and logistics, to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for process optimization.
- Prepare and present quality reports, including KPIs, defect rates, and corrective action plans, to management and stakeholders.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Ensure all quality documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and inspection records, is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant teams.
- Train and mentor production staff on quality standards, best practices, and the importance of adherence to quality protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field), Quality Management, or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or a similar role within the manufacturing, electronics, or logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or IPC standards, and experience conducting audits.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis (RCA) tools, such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, or 8D methodology, and experience implementing corrective actions.
- Hands-on experience with quality inspection tools and techniques, including statistical process control (SPC), measurement systems analysis (MSA), and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders.
- Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt), ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or similar is a plus.
