Responsibility
- Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Identify, document, and report defects, non-conformities, and areas for improvement using standardized reporting tools and systems.
- Collaborate with production and project teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues.
- Perform regular audits of production processes, equipment, and documentation to verify adherence to quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Maintain accurate records of inspection results, test data, and quality metrics for traceability and reporting purposes.
- Assist in the development and revision of quality control procedures, work instructions, and checklists to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality standards, best practices, and defect prevention techniques.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by participating in root cause analysis (RCA) and lean manufacturing projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma or Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in quality control, inspection, or assurance within manufacturing, production, or logistics environments.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools and instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and familiarity with quality inspection software.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems (QMS), such as ISO 9001, and experience with auditing processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Effective communication skills in English, with the ability to document and present quality-related findings clearly.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications such as CQI (Certified Quality Inspector) or Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt) are a plus.
