Responsibility
- Inspect and evaluate raw materials, in-process components, and finished precast products against industry standards, engineering blueprints, and client specifications.
- Conduct thorough visual, dimensional, and functional tests to identify defects, deviations, or non-conformities.
- Document inspection results, including detailed reports, non-conformance records, and corrective action recommendations.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and project teams to address quality issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with local and international quality standards, such as ISO, ASTM, or other relevant construction regulations.
- Perform regular calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Participate in pre-production meetings to review quality control plans and inspection criteria for new projects.
- Train and mentor junior staff or production teams on quality control procedures and best practices.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality control, preferably in the precast concrete or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality control standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM, ACI) and construction regulations.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to identify defects and propose solutions.
- Familiarity with inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, ultrasonic testers) and quality management software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Certification in Quality Control or Six Sigma is a plus.
