Responsibility
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for software applications, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical specifications.
- Perform manual and automated testing (functional, regression, integration, and performance) to identify defects and verify fixes.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and UX designers to analyze requirements and define testable user stories.
- Design and maintain test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JMeter) to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Document and track bugs, defects, and test results using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or TestRail, and provide clear reports to stakeholders.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and propose corrective actions to enhance software quality.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) to ensure QA integration throughout the SDLC.
- Stay updated with industry best practices in QA, testing tools, and emerging technologies to drive process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance, testing, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in test case design, execution, and defect tracking using tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.
- Hands-on experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Postman, or Cypress).
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) for test automation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to articulate technical issues clearly.
- Experience with API testing (REST/SOAP) and performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.
