Responsibility
- Design, architect, and implement a scalable AWS Unified Data Hub and Customer Data Platform to support omni-channel retail personalization.
- Develop and optimize data pipelines for real-time and batch processing using AWS services (e.g., Glue, Kinesis, Lambda, Redshift).
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to enable AI/ML capabilities through structured and accessible data.
- Monitor and fine-tune data infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of best practices in data engineering.
- Stay updated with emerging AWS data technologies and recommend innovations to enhance our data ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Data Architect or AWS Data Engineer in a retail or e-commerce environment.
- Strong expertise in AWS data services (e.g., S3, RDS, DynamoDB, EMR, Athena, QuickSight).
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data modeling for large-scale datasets.
- Experience with data governance, security, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Familiarity with AI/ML pipelines and tools (e.g., SageMaker, TensorFlow).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
