Responsibility
- Design, assemble, and deploy pyrotechnic displays, special effects, and stage props for live events, ensuring alignment with creative and technical requirements.
- Conduct pre-event inspections of equipment, materials, and venues to verify compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Coordinate with event directors, stage managers, and production teams to synchronize pyrotechnic cues with performances, music, or scripts.
- Operate and monitor pyrotechnic systems during events, including electronic firing systems, smoke machines, and flame effects, with real-time troubleshooting.
- Maintain detailed records of inventory, usage, and maintenance for all pyrotechnic materials and equipment.
- Lead post-event debriefs to assess execution, identify improvements, and ensure all safety protocols were followed.
- Stay updated on emerging pyrotechnic technologies, trends, and safety best practices to enhance event productions.
- Train and supervise junior technicians or event staff on safe handling, setup, and operation of pyrotechnic equipment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Pyrotechnic Technician or in a related role (e.g., special effects, stage rigging, or live event production).
- Certification in pyrotechnics, fireworks handling, or special effects from a recognized institution (e.g., ATF, BATFE, or equivalent international standards).
- Proven track record of executing pyrotechnic displays for large-scale events (concerts, festivals, theater, or film).
- In-depth knowledge of safety protocols, local regulations, and emergency procedures for pyrotechnic operations in Indonesia.
- Strong technical skills in operating electronic firing systems, DMX controls, and other specialized equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under tight deadlines in high-pressure environments.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment, work at heights, and endure long hours during event setups and executions.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Indonesian (Bahasa) is a plus.
