Responsibility
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to secure high-quality raw materials and supplies at competitive prices.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency and favorable payment terms.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid shortages.
- Evaluate and onboard new suppliers based on quality, reliability, pricing, and ethical sourcing practices.
- Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve any discrepancies or delays with vendors.
- Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and cost-saving opportunities to improve procurement strategies.
- Collaborate with finance and logistics teams to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and timely material deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications for audit and compliance purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing or chemical industries.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel for data analysis).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data, cost structures, and supplier performance metrics.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and just-in-time (JIT) procurement strategies.
- Familiarity with international trade regulations, customs procedures, and import/export documentation is a plus.
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
