Responsibility
- Facilitate the procurement of raw materials, components, and services to support manufacturing operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality compliance.
- Monitor and expedite open purchase orders (POs) to ensure on-time delivery from suppliers, resolving any delays or discrepancies promptly.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, conducting regular performance evaluations and initiating supplier development programs to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, logistics, and finance teams, to align purchasing activities with business needs and inventory requirements.
- Analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks to make data-driven purchasing decisions and mitigate potential disruptions.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure favorable agreements while maintaining high standards of quality and service.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including PO tracking, supplier communications, and inventory levels, using ERP or procurement software.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline procurement processes, reduce costs, and enhance supply chain sustainability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles, preferably in manufacturing or logistics.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain productive supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and process optimization.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal), with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and supply chain risk mitigation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.
