Responsibility
- Assist the Purchasing Officer and Assistant Purchasing Manager in identifying and developing new suppliers and service providers.
- Conduct market research to evaluate supplier capabilities, pricing, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to secure cost-effective and high-quality supplies.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure timely procurement and avoid shortages.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and align procurement strategies with business needs.
- Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing practices.
- Prepare and maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing or logistics.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess supplier performance and market trends.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
