Responsibility
- Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans to align with production demands and business objectives.
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure cost-effective contracts, favorable terms, and high-quality materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with logistics teams to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, evaluate pricing trends, and assess material alternatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, finance, and warehouse) to forecast demand and adjust procurement strategies.
- Prepare and analyze purchase orders, delivery schedules, and cost reports to track performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
- Resolve supply chain disruptions proactively and implement contingency plans to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain planning, preferably in manufacturing or MNC environments.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English (written and verbal).
- Knowledge of inventory management principles, lean manufacturing, and Just-in-Time (JIT) systems.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Familiarity with import/export regulations and international trade compliance is a plus.
