Responsibility
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to ensure cost-effective purchasing of construction materials, equipment, and services.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms, pricing, and contracts.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock, ensuring project timelines are met.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to align procurement activities with project requirements and budgets.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and new suppliers.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, invoices, and contracts while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Resolve supplier disputes and address delivery or quality issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, expenditures, and supplier performance for reporting and analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with local and international procurement regulations is a plus.
