Responsibility
- Lead and oversee the purchasing process, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., production, logistics, finance) to align purchasing activities with operational and business objectives.
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and pricing to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
- Manage supplier relationships, conduct performance evaluations, and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
- Prepare and present reports on purchasing metrics, budget adherence, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.
- Support the implementation of digital procurement tools and systems to streamline processes and enhance data accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record in supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost optimization.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., ERP systems, SAP, or Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Familiarity with industry regulations, compliance standards, and ethical procurement practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
