Responsibility
- Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms, pricing, and contracts for raw materials, components, and services.
- Coordinate logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, finance, and sales) to align purchasing and logistics activities with business objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, shipments, and inventory levels using ERP or supply chain management software.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing practices.
- Stay updated on market trends, supplier capabilities, and emerging technologies to drive innovation in procurement and logistics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) are a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or logistics, preferably in the manufacturing or technology sector.
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and analyze cost structures.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, demand forecasting, and lean supply chain principles.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), Microsoft Excel, and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and incoterms is advantageous.
