The Office of Civil Defense is seeking a dynamic and strategic Public Relations Officer I to join our team in Badung, Bali. This role is pivotal in shaping the organizationās public image, fostering strong media relationships, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, the public, and government entities.
As a Public Relations Officer, you will develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies, manage crisis communications, and create compelling content to enhance our brandās visibility and reputation. Responsibility
- Develop and execute strategic public relations campaigns to promote the Office of Civil Defenseās initiatives, programs, and achievements.
- Serve as the primary media liaison, cultivating relationships with journalists, reporters, and media outlets to secure positive coverage.
- Write and distribute press releases, statements, and speeches for senior officials, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Monitor and analyze media trends and public opinion to inform PR strategies and crisis communication plans.
- Organize and coordinate press conferences, interviews, and public events to enhance visibility and engagement.
- Manage the organizationās social media presence, creating and curating content that resonates with diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
- Prepare reports and presentations on PR activities, metrics, and outcomes for leadership review.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or media relations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Indonesian is a plus.
- Proven ability to develop PR strategies and manage media relations effectively.
- Experience in crisis communication and reputation management.
- Strong social media management skills, including content creation and analytics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and PR tools (e.g., Cision, Meltwater).
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
