Responsibility
- Assist in the development and execution of communications strategies and campaigns.
- Draft and edit press releases, media advisories, and other communication materials.
- Support media relations efforts, including maintaining media lists and coordinating interviews.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform communications strategies and public engagement initiatives.
- Assist in the planning and execution of events, including press conferences and public forums.
- Monitor and report on media coverage and public sentiment related to MCMC initiatives.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all platforms.
- Provide administrative support to the communications team as needed.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Basic understanding of public relations principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media platforms.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Previous internship or volunteer experience in communications or related fields is a plus.
