Responsibility
- Lead the design and engineering of substation equipment, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and industry standards.
- Develop and review project plans, schedules, and budgets, optimizing resources for timely and cost-effective execution.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, construction, and testing, to ensure seamless project integration.
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of substation equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and protection systems.
- Conduct risk assessments and mitigation planning to address potential project challenges proactively.
- Prepare and present technical reports, progress updates, and documentation for stakeholders and clients.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with clients and vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure project deliverables meet expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in substation design, installation, or testing, preferably in industrial or utility projects.
- Strong knowledge of substation equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, and SCADA systems.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and engineering software (e.g., ETAP, AutoCAD).
- Familiarity with international standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI) and local regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills to manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and travel to project sites as needed.
- Certifications in project management (PMP) or electrical safety are highly desirable.
