Responsibility
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of data center infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of critical systems, including power, cooling, networking, and security.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., TIA-942, Uptime Institute) and company policies for data center operations.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications, reports, and as-built drawings.
- Monitor project performance, analyze metrics, and implement improvements for efficiency and scalability.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering, with a focus on data center infrastructure, IT systems, or mission-critical facilities.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale technical projects from design to deployment.
- Strong knowledge of data center technologies, including power distribution, cooling systems, cabling, and network architectures.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Primavera) and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications such as PMP, LEED, CDCP, or ITIL are highly desirable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment and adapt to evolving project requirements.
