Responsibility
- Develop and refine AutoCAD 2D and Revit 3D models for mechanical and electrical systems in data centre construction projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and project managers, to ensure accurate and compliant designs.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to align with project requirements and industry standards.
- Identify and resolve design conflicts or discrepancies, proposing practical solutions to maintain project timelines.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including as-built drawings, revision logs, and project reports.
- Conduct site visits and coordinate with on-site teams to verify design feasibility and address implementation challenges.
- Optimize drafting processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to best practices in BIM (Building Information Modeling).
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in AutoCAD, Revit, and data centre design trends to enhance technical expertise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A diploma with relevant experience may also be considered.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in drafting and design for construction projects, with a focus on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and Revit 3D is mandatory; experience with BIM 360 or Navisworks is a plus.
- Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure, including cooling, power distribution, and cabling systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-precision technical drawings under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to liaise with stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams.
- Familiarity with international construction codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NEC, or local regulations).
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot design issues and propose innovative solutions.
